Broncos Roll the Dice: Jarrett Stidham Set for Rare Playoff Start in AFC Championship
Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham, who’s set to start in next Sunday’s AFC Championship, has not attempted a pass in a game since January 5th, 2025 (Week 18 last season), has not started since January 7th, 2024 (Week 18 of 2023 season), and is 1-3 in four starts in his seven year NFL career.
Stidham, 29, is the ninth QB since 1950 to make his first start of the season in the playoffs, with the first eight QBs going 1-7 combined.
Stidhan will face either the best defense (Houston) or the third-best defense by points allowed (New England) for the conference title.
The former 2019 4th-round pick has been with the Broncos since 2023.
“Stiddy’s ready. And we’ll be ready,” Sean Payton said postgame.
